One of Makro’s managers, Sharon Howard, oversees the T.A.S. links with Makro, making the task of liaison a smooth and purposeful one. She ensures the staff get behind our cause, whether their preferences are for dogs, cats, horses or even just for people!
Staff committees and charitable groups in many businesses play an enormously valuable role in supporting their chosen charities, often focussing on smaller, local ones. This helps those smaller charities which can get overlooked in the charity ‘market-place’ because of their modest size and uniqueness, not being part of a large umbrella organisation. All do excellent work but we as a medium sized individual charity appreciate being noticed and supported by our local communities.
Holly, pictured here as well as elsewhere on this site (because of her big smile) does not realise it but she and her animal friends owe their lives to supporters such as the Makro staff.
