A gruelling but fun way to raise funds for Thornberry Animal Sanctuary took place on Sunday 1st August, the Tough Mudder challenge at Broughton Hall, Skipton. The team of nine people who volunteered to take part all started the course in matching vivid green T.A.S. T-shirts. See us in the picture below. All ended the course still matching – sludge-coloured, caked in mud and sodden from head to toe! The 13 obstacles on the 5K course had us plunging into cold muddy water, crawling through mud inches away from barbed wire, scaling heights and slithering over mud hills as shown in the photo (Taken from the Tough Mudder website; you won’t see us submerged in this one!).
The Tough Mudder emphasis is on team-work, an ethos we value enormously at Thornberry Animal Sanctuary amongst our staff, our volunteers and our supporters.
