Meet Helter & Skelter

We’re looking for a forever home for Helter and Skelter, a sweet bonded pair of young Lionhead rabbits. This brother and sister duo have been through a rough start to life, rescued from being advertised for bait, but their resilience and loving nature shine through every single day. Helter – The Curious Explorer Helter is the more adventurous of the two. He’s always the first to investigate new toys or peek around a new corner. He’s playful and bold, but also gentle and enjoys being stroked. He’ll hop over to greet you and has a soft spot for treats and enrichment puzzles. Skelter – The Gentle Snuggler Skelter has a soft, calm personality. She’s very affectionate and enjoys quiet time, often found cuddled up next to Helter or stretched out in a cozy spot. She loves head rubs and will nuzzle your hand for more attention. She’s a little shyer than her brother at first, but warms up quickly and bonds closely with her humans. Together, they make the perfect balance – energetic and calm, playful and affectionate. They’re looking for a home with space to explore and exercise (minimum 3m x 2m), a family or individual willing to give them time, love, and attention in a peaceful environment where they can feel safe and secure.

The adoption process

Application
If you see an animal on our website that you are interested in adopting, you should fill out an Animal Enquiry form. This gives us more details about yourself and your lifestyle to make sure you are a good match for each other. If we get multiple requests for one animal, we will consider them all and choose the most suitable home to match it to a new owner. This will allow everyone interested a fair chance of adopting it
First meeting
If your application is successful, we will invite you for a first meeting. Here, you and the animal will meet each other and see how you get along. Following on from this, there may be more meetings and you can introduce other pets as required.
Home checks
Home checks are required for every dog before we set the adoption date. This was done physically pre-Covid but we now ask for videos and photos. We need to be sure the home environment is suitable for that dog and the garden is secure. If dogs/rabbits are going to live with other dogs/rabbits, we will arrange an introduction as previously mentioned.
Keep in touch
Every adoption is as unique as each animal. Please remember although sometimes it might seem like a lengthy process, we are doing this to make sure each animal is found the right home for their lifetime.
