Thornberry Easter Fun Fayre on a gloriously sunny Easter Saturday

Prizes galore were won at Thornberry’s Easter Fayre on Easter Saturday, including Snowie the large rabbit himself.  An even bigger Easter rabbit made the raffle draw. See below for the  prizewinners.  There were several live demonstrations of some of our ‘real’ rabbits too as well as two visiting ponies welcoming our visitors by the car park gates whilst basking in the Bank Holiday sunshine.  It was a relaxed but colourful atmosphere, with  face-painted children scampering about searching for treasure hunt clues and grown-ups able to browse amongs the vibrant offerings for sale on the stalls and enjoy delicious home-baked cakes or hot refreshments from the cafe. Simple fun away from the Bank Holiday queues! 

The raffle was well -supported. A huge vote of thanks goes to our volunteers who sold tickets on behalf of Thornberry and in some cases, contributed to the prizes themselves, beautifully and professionally displayed in attractive hampers. 

The winning numbers were: ticket 1639  £100 Co-op gift card and hamper of goodies,  ticket 1257 £50 Pets at Home voucher in a hamper, ticket 0105 £50 Disney Store voucher in a hamper, ticket 1298 Peter Rabbit Easter Bunny and chocs hamper,  ticket 1288 Portable DVD player, ticket 1038 Family day out at the Tropical Butterfly House, ticket 0980 Easter Eggs and wines hamper, ticket 0648 Easter Egg and wine.   

Well done to those who won prizes – thank you for supporting us – and an extra big thank-you to those who, on this occasion, did not win a prize themselves but contributed to the continued support of  Thornberry’s animals. The raffle raised £1288.
